We’re pleased to share that temporary security staff have been brought into Newhall, primarily to patrol the woodland area adjacent to London Road and other Newhall assets. This is a short-term, precautionary measure funded by Newhall Projects Ltd, aimed at monitoring and discouraging anti-social behaviour (ASB).
It’s important to stress that Newhall already has some of the lowest levels of anti-social behaviour in Harlow:
-
In the Church Langley North & Newhall ward, ASB incidents are just ≈5.46 per 1,000 residents – rated 2 out of 10 (very low) compared to national wards (data source: https://crystalroof.co.uk/report/ward/church-langley-north-and-newhall-harlow/crime, based on official Police data via https://data.police.uk/). Please check our links in bio for more information.
-
Across Harlow as a whole, Essex Police report that anti-social behaviour is down 21% year-on-year (12 months to June 2025).
These figures confirm that Newhall is already one of the safest and lowest-risk areas in Harlow.
Closing Note
The new security patrols are temporary and funded entirely by Newhall Projects Ltd. They are being deployed thoughtfully and will be reviewed after a short-term period, reinforcing a community environment that is already safe, positive and welcoming for everyone.
